Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues:
The global transition toward net-zero emissions requires clean-energy technologies that can improve the conversion of renewable resources, recover otherwise wasted energy, valorize residual materials, and increase the overall efficiency of energy systems. These challenges require integrated advances in thermofluids,renewable-energy conversion, sustainable fuels, thermal management, energy materials, and system optimization.
This Special Issue,“Advanced Clean Energy Conversion, Circular Fuels, and Thermal Management for Net-Zero Transformation,” aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for recent developments in clean and sustainable energy technologies. It focuses on engineering approaches that improve energy-conversion efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil resources, and support the circular use of materials and energy.
The Special Issue welcomes experimental, numerical, analytical, and data-driven studies addressing renewable and low-carbon energy conversion;green hydrogen production and utilization;biomass and waste valorization; gasification, pyrolysis, hydrothermal conversion, and sustainable fuels; photovoltaic and photovoltaic/thermal technologies; solar thermal systems;waste-heat recovery; thermoelectric energy conversion;thermal energy storage and phase-change materials;advanced heat-transfer enhancement;energy-efficient equipment;and integrated multi-energy systems.
Research involving computational fluid dynamics, thermodynamic and exergy analysis, optimization, machine learning, life-cycle assessment, techno-economic analysis, reliability assessment, and experimental validation is particularly encouraged.Studies connecting technological performance with resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, circular economy principles, and deployment under tropical or emerging-economy conditions are also welcome.
The Special Issue aligns with the transition toward affordable and clean energy (SDG 7)while supporting responsible resource use, industrial innovation, and the broader objective of net-zero transformation.
Potential contributions may address clean-energy technologies from component and material scales through complete energy-conversion systems, thereby connecting fundamental engineering advances with practical pathways toward efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy infrastructure.

Manuscript Submission Information:
Please visit the Submissions Guidelines page before submitting a manuscript. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the Online Submission System. Additionally, please include a Cover Letter specifying that the manuscript is intended for the Special Issue "Advanced Clean Energy Conversion,Circular Fuels, and Thermal Management for Net-Zero Transformation" when submitting it online. Manuscripts can be submitted until the submission deadline.
Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process.
Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the Special Issue website.
For papers planned for submission, a title and short abstract can be sent to Editor Tricia (tricia@nassg.org) for announcement on this website.
